A FORMER hairdresser is facing a race against time to put Essex in the national spotlight by bringing back what could become the "biggest spectacle" in the county's sporting calendar.Brian Moran, 67, wants to resurrect the Essex Trophy cycle race, which he masterminded in the 1970s and 1980s, for April 2016.He has drafted a 175km route, weaving through Chelmsford, South Woodham Ferrers, Burnham, Maldon, Hatfield Peverel, Pleshey, Roxwell and Writtle for 125 elite club cyclists.Yet...
